Privacy Policy
Couchlight is an iPhone remote for Roku TVs and Roku streaming players, made by an independent developer. Couchlight does not collect any personal data. There is no account, no developer server, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

1. Your local network
To find your TV, Couchlight briefly checks each address on the Wi‑Fi network your iPhone is connected to for Roku's local control port (8060). It then talks directly to the Roku devices it finds, using Roku's local control protocol. It reads device details such as the TV's name, model and IP address, the list of installed channels and their icons, and sends the keys you press. This traffic stays on your home network and is never sent to the developer. iOS asks for your permission before the app can use the local network; you can change it any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network.
2. What stays on your iPhone
- The last Roku you connected to (name, model, software version, IP address and serial number), so the app can reconnect.
- Your favorite and recently opened channels.
- App settings, your free-use count and whether you have already seen a subscription offer.
This information is stored only in the app's storage on your device and may be included in your device backups. Deleting the app deletes it.
3. Purchases
Couchlight Pro subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Apple. The developer never receives your payment details or Apple Account information. The app only asks Apple (StoreKit), on your device, whether you have an active purchase. Through App Store Connect the developer sees only aggregated sales statistics from Apple that do not identify you.
4. This website
This website (couchlight.indiehack.kr) is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). To serve pages, Cloudflare processes standard connection information such as your IP address under its own policies. The app does not send anything to this website.
5. Children
Couchlight is not directed to children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
6. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If the app ever starts collecting data, this page will say exactly what, why and how to turn it off before that version is released.
