Couchlight can't find my TV
- Make sure your iPhone and your Roku TV or stick are on the same Wi‑Fi network (not a guest network).
- Allow local network access: Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network › Couchlight.
- Turn the TV on, then tap "Search again".
- Still nothing? Tap "Enter IP address". You'll find it on your Roku in Settings › Network › About.
The app connects, but buttons don't work
Newer Roku software can set phone control to "Limited", which lets apps open channels and type text but not press buttons. On your Roku, press Home and open Settings › System › Advanced system settings › Control by mobile apps › Network access, then choose Enabled. Couchlight shows these steps on screen when it detects this setting.
Which TVs work?
Roku TVs (onn, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Insignia, Sharp, Westinghouse, JVC, RCA, Element and others) and Roku streaming players and sticks. Couchlight is not affiliated with Roku, Inc.
Typing with the keyboard
Open a search box on your TV, then tap the keyboard button in Couchlight and type. Letters appear on the TV as you type.
Subscriptions
Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. To restore a purchase on another device, open Couchlight › Settings › Restore Purchases. Cancel at least 24 hours before a trial or period ends to avoid being charged.
